Taxi brousse making their weekly rounds to the rural villages around mine in Madagascar. Since people don’t have ovens, a taxi brousse from our regional capitol, Fianarantsoa, delivers bread to the local epiceries every Wednesday morning. I mean it is literally a van filled with bread! Dreams do come true…
Rice pounding in my village last week. Triple threat !

I organized a soccer tournament and cultural/educational event for my village, Ambatovaky, Madagascar. The kids participated in health and business education, and we even sang the American National Anthem. Thanks to the volunteers who came out to support and participate as well as those who donated balls, jerseys, and prizes! It was a wonderful event!
There are few things more life-affirming than an ocean sunset. Took this picture in Foulpointe, Madagascar. You can see sunset and the rising moon.
Aza atao ela! These lovely ladies taught me how to cook for an entire village at my first “turning of the bones”! 120cups of rice for a village of 300ish… #Madagascar
